FRIENDS! ROMANS! COUNTRYMEN!

I hear tell that Advance Reader Copies of The Evolution of Mara Dyer are forthcoming. Like, soon. Would you like one?

I think a contest is in order, then.

Last year, I held a drawing and gave away ARCs to the wonderful people selected by RandomNumberGeneratorThingie.org. But that was before anyone knew anything about Mara Dyer. Now that it's out there, and you have/can read it, I thought it would be fun to make this contest FUN. I would love to see people who are super excited about the sequel get to read it early. And what better way to do that than to make ya'll work for it?

So! Here's how you can enter to win an ARC of The Evolution:

1) Make art! A drawing, a cartoon, a photograph, a photomanip, graphic design-y stuff, typography (like the above picture), anything! I have seen so much cool stuff already--I post things that get sent my way on Tumblr and Pinterest because I LOVE THEM SO MUCH and I am like a beast that always wants to be fed MOAR.

2) Make words! You could write something about the characters in Mara Dyer's world. You could write something set IN Mara Dyer's world. You could write a new scene with Mara and Noah, even! You could even write a scene from The Unbecoming from Noah's point of view! Or something from Daniel's! The sky is the limit! I was just at Ascendio this past weekend and the subject of fan fiction came up; I do not think such a thing exists with the Mara Dyer characters because I try to keep my head in the sand about Mara Dyer-ish things but I would not be sad at all if it did.* Maybe try to keep it not-rated M, please, because my 89-year-old grandpa reads this here blog (and every comment, for reals) and that would be SUPER EMBARRASSING FOR ME, mmkay?

3) Make a video! Like a fan-made book trailer! Or an imaginary casting vid! Or a Lego reenactment! If there are moving pictures, it counts!

4) Make something up! Anything Mara Dyer-ish! Like a T-shirt! Or a photograph of a scene reenactment! Or a dramatic reading of Noah's naughty poem! Or a picture of The Unbecoming in a really weird/unusual location! Or make finger puppets, even! ANYTHING GOES, GUYS! 

So there you have it. Four categories = four ways to win. You can even enter in each of the four categories--that's right: you can enter FOUR TIMES.

It is no secret that fannish things make authors happy in their soul place, and you guys are SO TALENTED and SO CREATIVE and I have been blown away by things I have seen so far that I CANNOT WAIT for this contest, I really can't, which is why I am posting this entry before my ARCs have even shown up! Also because some of these things require more lead time/work than others--which is why I'm giving you guys until August 10th. Three weeks from today until I close entries. I will post winners here thereafter?
